Shri. Pabitra Buragohain ,the eldest son of a school teacher, is a first generation entrepreneur .He did his M.Com and M.B.A from Gauhati University. He started his maiden venture in 2001 in the name of ORIENT PROCESSORS PVT. LTD. at Lokhra, Guwahati for post spinning and processing unit to produce Fast Colour Cotton Dyed Yarn. He has also set up another unit in the name of ORIENT SPUN SILK AND PROCESSING MILLS to produce Fast Colour Dyed Mulberry Silk, Eri Silk and twisted Muga Silk Yarn. He has recently registered his third unit in the name of ORIENT KNITFAB PVT. LTD. to produce Knitted Garments and Fabrics.
